I did a lot of hiking with family as a kid, which included the Grand Canyon and Zion. I also have a particular fondness for national parks, the natural world, and the like. Which is easy to appreciate when you grow up in New Jersey!
This was an exercise in translating that love and experience, and the sheer amount of information re:Zion, into editorial spreads and a booklet. Luckily, it was easy enough to organize the information into three categories, because it was more or less how the NPS website organized it. There was still a lot to figure out how to present, however. So I used this as an opportunity for infographic design in an editorial context. I’ve been particularly inspired by Adam Sharratt’s infographic work (https://www.behance.net/adamsharrattdesign), whose designs also inspired my USWNT infographic.
